I'm going to Sydney and Brisbane for a vacation and I'm buying gifts for all my friends. Does anyone know of any bargain store that sells souvenirs like Koala stuffed toys and other stuff? Preferably I prefer a store that's in the Central area.

I dont know how anyone could say Sydney isn't attractive. IT's rated in top five beautiful cities in the world, last year it was number 1. Anyway, that is not what this q is about. Don't go to souvenier stores in the city like there's a huge one at Circular Quay, it's expensive. If you can find $2 stores, I think there's one near Town Hall station (right in the heart of the city), they sell stuffed koalas etc. But that other person was right about the markets at China Town. They have stalls in the middle of the main street at night time on weekends. Or there's Paddy's Markets at the end at a place called Market City. They have heaps of cheap souvenirs. Just go to China Town (near Darling Harbour) and ask anyone for Market City. I know it's open during the day but don't know about night time.

In Sydney:

For things like that I would go to the City, get off at China Town, they have HUGE markets there, and in China Town it's self alot of those kind of stores.

Have fun, make sure you go to Bondi Beach, Coogee & Manly while in Sydney. The city is like all other cities...busy, not that attractive...However darling harbour and circular quay are nice parts of the city.
Have Fun!!!
