Yes and no. I enjoy turning older. I like the thought of no longer being a foolish 20-something (I'll be turning 30 in less than a month). But there are things that bother me. Like that I'm still not independent. I don't know what I will do. The future is scary to a disabled person.

Turning older, good. Growing older, not so good. I guess it's not a problem of mine right now though. Perhaps, I have a young soul.

I like the experience and knowledge I have gained in growing older but hate the aging effects on my body and the slowing down of the human machine. My body betrays the spirit of the inner person.

Absolutely. Aging is a process we all have to go through. So why not embrace it graciously. I am grateful I have come this far in life. And I am looking forward for many, many more years to come. With every year that passes I don't only look better but I feel emotionally, physically, spiritually and psychologically better. My mom and dad are 83 years old beautiful healthy people. And 3 years ago my maternal grandma went on her journey at age 110 years old. How wonderful is that? Eric keep smiling. :=) .

Yes, although it has been painful sometimes in my youth, it seems that it is impossible to get past the hurt and pain of the moment. But sometimes its just best to cast your concerns to the wind and do something good like bake cookies or read a book. Life is the first gift God gave. When people you love hurt you, or disappoint you, or even worst embarrasses you, it is good to remember that those people are working out of their own shortcomings and that it is not necessarily because you are worthy of such treatment or are unlovable. Believe me, after seeing how things work out years down the road, you will be grateful for some of those separations. Just as you desire love and companionship, there is someone else who has the same needs and desires as you, and will have them towards you. When they wake up they will want to see your face, hear your voice, touch your hand and smell your hair. It is so special when you meet that person, so as I have had to say in my life. "As much as I love you, image how great it will be when I find the person who I am suppose to love that loves me back! Thanks for not wasting my time in a meaningless relationship. It's okay to let go sometimes. :-) God bless.

GROWING OLDER IS MANDATORY. GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL. i believe in aging gracefully and inner beauty.
The mind- body connection in beauty is amazing. Why do some people with good features and excellent skin still lose out to others who are not so perfect? It's their inner beauty that's lacking. External beauty is about features and make up. Inner beauty is about charm, appeal and the ability to captivate.

Remember, with no inner glow, no amount of make up can make you beautiful. An inner glow lets your real beauty shine through.

I have no fear of growing old except that you face more loneliness than you do when you're young.

well my thoughts on growing older are that i do not like it. I am still pretty young, however, i fear each birthday that i have, it is nice to be considered mature, but i am not all too crazy of becoming a "true adult". I would rather enjoy being a youth....

§Wow---I was just thinking of this. I sometimes wish I could stay the age I am but sometimes I feel like I want to go older so I can experience how it feels to be like when I am older§ I'll have to wait & see, I guess§

Growing older brings with it every day more accumulated knowledge and hopefully wisdom. So, YES.
It is also a fact of life that we cannot alter, so disliking it doesn't make alot of sense !!!
