Thank Your Lucky Stars that you didn’t waste more valuable time and emotions on someone so undeserving.

. Get Back on "the Horse" Again.
Don’t stop believing in the possibilities of love just ‘cause you’ve been hurt. What he didn’t see in you, the next man likely will. Start off dating slowly and casually until you get your groove again. . But be sure not to indulge in a rebound relationship where no one really wins.

Remember that God Never Closes One Door Without Opening Another.

no...i dont think anyone does. you can try to prevent falling in love but you wouldnt get very far. eventually it will happen its just fate. love is never easy, its not supposed to be.

all you can do is hope for the best and try to be as happy for the other person as you can (if theyre not in your life that is)
if it is something like my mom and my father had all i can say is dont lose your dignity and let the person take advantage of you. relationships are about both sides. sure you can care about the person but learn to have some self-respect. its not all about them, its about you AND them...compromise.
actually this could even be the case for unrequited love. whats important is knowing what (or who as the case may be) you want/need and going for it. if it doesnt work out then you know its not meant to be.
is it a surefire cure? no but sometimes trying does work. once you realize its not meant to be then your love can possibly become more understanding and you wont be so focused on hoping theyll be happy with you. instead you'll be happy for them even if theyre not happy with you.

many people will say love is all about selflessness but to me its more than that....yes falling in love requires selflessness but its also about knowing what you want/need . it can be compromise. you know that you desperately crave that person but you go for it in a way that is not hurting them.

gah i dont think i explained this right but i tried the best i could.

Yes, give in to it. Love encompasses all--love trusting, respecting, and with dignity. Because of that, you will receive such a blessing from love that it will seem like a "cure". Don't consider a cure unless you are sick. Love is not a sickness.

I have a secret, and it's not trying hard to get over it. That does no good. I was obsessed over a boy for 4 years. Not going to work! What you should do is find something that you like or think you might like more than the uncertainty of love (key word here: uncertainty). I've found writing and lolita clothes and that's made me decide that I can do without love! But you know about us lolita types don't you? Always care about their fashion more than anything else.... My grandmother gave me one of her old scarves (made entirely of black lace) yesterday. I fell in love all over again! I hate dating. Relationships suck. Romance is for the lucky ones.

So find something to do that will keep you preoccupied. But don't turn into one of me. I'm just another "modern woman" who's lost her faith in love.
