(ANS) The idea of Intelligent Design is a non sense, its a lame & desperate attempt by the Christian fundatmentalist's to trash the theory of evolution by natural selection put forwards by Charles Darwin.
Darwins theory is backed up solid evidence found within the fossil record, a record that takes us back millions of years into the dawn of life of this planet.
Intelligent design has no solid scientifcaly valid proof that stands up to rational scientific enquiry.
The so concept of Intelligent design was invented by fundamentalist's for christain fundamentalists. Its a desperate attempt to find a theory and then to look for anything no matter who weak or tenious to fit the idea. Where as in contrast Darwins theory was formulated first and foremost from years of hard evidence, from countless samples taken from the Galapagos Islands and many years research after he returned to England after his journey.
**I cannot take Intelligent Design seriously for a nano second. But there again I cannot take any religion seriously either.

It's very interesting argument.
The laws of physics cannot be adjusted to hardly any extend whatsoever before it becomes impossible to have life.
At one time, scientists may have believed that the universe exploded then collapsed and each explosion and collapse would give rise to different physical laws - thus sort of throwing the dice to get many tries at an inhabitable universe. But today we know that the universe is not going to collapse.
So disbelievers have had to go to the Multiverse concept which is an almost infinite number of parallel worlds. It is a terribly contrived explanation to avoid God as an explanation.

Scientists believe that evolution is the best explanation for life as it appears on earth today.
There is no evidence for Intelligent Design or the existence of God.

Not at all persuasive. Intelligent design results in simplicity, not complexity. It certainly eliminates purposeless redundancy. Why do men have nipples ?
