Im interested in entering the apiculture business and im interested in getting woden bee hives, from scratch, how long does it take to harvest the honey ?, and after harvesting, how long after that do I need to wait to harvest honey from the same hive again ? Also I wanted to know if its a high maintenance business , does it need allot of work?

a new hive needs at least 2 years to establish its self. after the first harvest (depending on how much honey you took out and how well the flower situation around the hive is) harvesting once a year is possible. most of the time the bees can take care of themselves but there are predators, diseases, bad weather and over harvesting that can kill a hive. yes, it can be labor intensive. even more so if you have more than 1 hive. plus the cost of the equipment needed.
