Grandma, Nan, Nana ... etc
Grandad, Pops, Granda .. etc.
I can't have children so I'll never have that particular delight but I still know the answer. I had two Grandmas, my Mam was a Grandma, my aunts are Grandmas, my sister will be known as ... you've guessed it ... Grandma, so that's sort of all I've known.
My Uncle's Mam lived near us so when my cousins visited we all would go and see 'Nana' but I thought that was actually her name, I'm sure I referred to her as their Grandma once or twice.

What a fantastic question, although I am sorry you will neer have children! I too have have many different names in my family for the elder generations. My Great grandmother on one side was "Granny", another was "Nanny"..then I have Nana, GG (Gorgeous Granny, she was 40 when the first grandchild was born), and then we have Papa, Pops, and even Grandad. For me, I would like Papa or Poppa

Both my parents moms we called Grandma Nelly and Grandma Christina. I never really wanted to be called Grandma, My cousin calls her grandma Nana and my other cousin calls her grandpa Poppa. but I think Nan or Nana is kinda weird, like you said it sounds like the persons name lol. So I guess they can call me Grandma Christy

I'm a grandmother of six, four girls and two boys, and they all call me Grandma. When the oldest was tiny, she called me Maama instead of Grandma and I loved it because it was just her little name for me. I was so sad when she outgrew it.

No children in this household so probably no grandchildren either, eh?
But if I was ever to become a grandmother, I really don't care what my grandkids would call me as long as it's in time for lunch/dinner/supper, lol!

I would want to be a Grandma, I had two grandmas, my mum is a grandma. Sounds warmer somehow.

I don't know, but I expect whatever they come up with will sound special. I quite like grandpop, but he was a very special person and I don't, measure up to him.
