hood is the bonnet
rotors are brake disks
a muffler is a silencer
bulbs are lamps

and it doesnt matter where you are, but only cranks make revolutions..

There are many thousands of parts in a car - about 3,000 in a small, low-cost, basic car, and up to 12,000 in a more complex car. Different manufacturers have different naming conventions - so the same component may have a different name when used by Ford than when used by Renault. Many of the component names make little sense in isolation, and only make sense when considered along side adjacent parts.
