Interesting question.
We are a product of nature and nuture.
We also have brain chemistry that has a great deal of who we are. These things don't negate our fee choice, but it does infulence it.
And I believe we have a choice to repeat family dysfunction and personal lameness if we aren't open to change.
We are also infulenced by what our expectations are. especially the expectations of those around us. mostly our parents. It takes strength to be who we are without pleasing those around us

It's easy, all of our actions, personality, quircks and everything we do comes from what is stored in our brain. Without it our body wouldn't do anything. So it is our brain! Our brain controls us without it we would not do anything, we would be dead. It controls our heart, our life.
Sometimes stupid answers have simple answers this wasn't stupid, sounds just like a brain fart.

If we did everything our brain told us to, we would be much better off. sadly, for guys we don't do all our thinking with our brains... we do it with our balls.
how else do we get into situation where we end up being some hot girls lap dog.
anyways, some decisions we make aren't logical, they're emotional. and I like to think emotions come from the heart.

in a manner of speaking, we ARE our brains and we ARE our bodies. Our minds exist through our the activity of our brains, and we interact with our environment to survive through our bodies.
The dualist position (e.g. Descartes), that mind and body, or person and body, are separate, is problematic because altering our brain affects who we are, and experience, learning, or consciously trying to change has biological manifestations.
You'll find yourself somewhere in your brain activity. Once your brain dies and your body dies, you cease to exist. Or, if you're religious, you cease to exist in the same way.

yes it does make sense to me in this context
i'd say my brain is in charge but it makes a rats a$$ of absolutely everything
the figure "you" is the person the question is asked of for instance Bette Midler could ask that question of Matt Groening
