That Federal Reserve Note has to be back by something real, such as gold. In reality, I should be able to take that dollar and trade it in for a dollar's worth of gold. An FRN is a promissory note. It is a promise to pay, but under the War Powers Act, gold is actually illegal for you to use in commerce. That is where your government is screwing you. Because you use their promissory note, they have the right to tax their property - that FRN!

It would cause massive inflation and money would become near worthless. Instead of costing four dollars, a gallon of milk might end up costing $100,000. Here is an extreme example to make the point. Suppose the government printed and gave everyone 1 billion dollars. Now one of the pipes in your house breaks and you call the plumber. Do you think that he, a fellow billionaire, is going to come and fix the leak for his normal $200 dollars. No he would want much more. With everyone having so much money the cost of everything would go up.
Many countries have over printed money always with negative consequences.
The only way to end poverty would be to allocate the world's resources equally. This is unlikely to ever happen.

Its was time that you open your eyes. The word is Capitalism/ and selfishness.
you are right to say that if everyone would share a bit of what they earn, it could reduce poverty but the Big companies that make real money only work for their own profit. They dont care if someone dies of hunger by their sides.
Fortunately some companies do it (even if its for their image).
if you really want to help, think less large... think about your neighbourhood, try to help people near, it's like that that we will make the difference, dont count on others, or on Big Companies

Occaisionally governments do just that.
It's called "inflation", if it's done on the sly, or "devaluation", if done openly.
The end result is the same. The value of the money decreases and you're back where you started as to poverty. (But the diluted money makes great T. P.)
