I'm getting spam emails that are just lists of words. Why are they doing this?
I delete them immediately. Is ther anything better I could do?

how do you know that they are lists of words? does this mean that you have opened them? it is potentially dangerous to open unsolicited e-mail, if you are not expecting it or don't recognise who it is from then just don't open them. Yes, block the e-mail address, i suspect that they have hundreds of addresses so they will soon find a way of sending them to you, but at least you are helping to keep your system safe by following the golden rules. take care and good luck.

You shouldn't really open them, as they could have software attached.

You should never reply as this would inform them that the e-mail address is active.

You should also try and make sure that your E-mail provider put the e-mails straight in to a spam or junk box straight away (if the e-mail has this option.

You should also report them to the e-mail provider, as they will take some form of action and this will warn others in the future.

But the best thing you can do is delete the E-mails straight away.

Sounds like the sensible thing to do. I've been told they are just trying to see if it's an active account so if you open them or especially if you try to reply to them, they know it's an account they can send REAL spam to!

Don't know why they are doing it, the best thing to do with them is to put them as junk/bulk.
