Yes it is
And there is a very simple solution to that
Only put as much food in there as the will eat in 3-5 min, everything else you just take out with the net after that time, that way you can't overfeed them
And your betta doesn't need more then 3-6 pellets a day
Hope that helps
Good luck

Yes. Fish that are healthy are always hungry which is why many owners tend to overfeed them. However, underfeeding is better than overfeeding, so limit the food to 5 or 6 flakes per fish, and at most 4 pieces of beta food per betta.

Yes it is possible to over feed your fish and the most common reason for fish death too.

Yes. However, fish do not have the capable minds or feelings to realize that they are eating too much, so however much you feed them, they will most likely eat it all. Don't ever overfeed your fish; it can result in death.

I am sorry for your fishes, they are living in a very small space and being over feed. It is easy for them to get high levels of amonia in the water because with all the food waste and theirs the water is poluted. Betta live alone. OK? They can ge fungus too and is not good to make them many water changes.
Do not kill them please!!!

just a small pinch 2x a day..literally, a small pinch. alot of smaller fish will eat algae as well. mollies and the like can usually be seen doing so. your fish dont use alot of energy as there isnt much space..they dont need as much food as a wild fish would.

Yes, in which case they become bloated and sometimes get sick. You only need to sprinkle enough food for them to have a few bites,
