No it is not O.K. you can get Cancer from second hand smoke...so one cigarette a day is first hand smoke and chemicals inhaled into your lungs and will eventually create a state of addiction. Noone knows how much smoke it will take to give you cancer because it is differerent for everyone. Quit now.

One cigarette a day can easily become 3 then maybe 6 until your a packet a day cigarette smoker. You probably already know all the bad diseases you can get from smoking. Smoking is addictive.

I once heard smoking described as this. Imagine putting on a blindfold and walking across a busy road. While it is likely you could get hit, you might survive. The cars represent the diseases caused by smoking. When you smoke you play Russian roulette with your health and while you hear of some smokers living long lives, you could be that light smoker that just happens to get hit by lung cancer.

Cheese and rice these people are terrible, aren't they? Don't listen to these idiots, they just want to make themselves feel better by putting you down. Look, if you're only smoking a couple of cigarettes a day, it's extremely unlikely that you'll cause any sort of damage at all. I've gone down from 30 a day to 2-4 a day in the last 2 months, and I believe I am doing an exceptional job. My doctor has been supportive of my decison to wean myself off of them rather than just quit cold turkey. I don't believe I'd have been able to just quit completely at the time. More likely, I'd have just started right up again. I know that smoking during pregnancy isn't healthy (hell, smoking any time isn't healthy) but we must all realize that it is an addiction. It's like asking an alcoholic not to drink anymore, when virtually everyone else is drinking right in front of them. Since we are talking about addiction though, I don't think that smoking 6 to 8 cigarettes a day constitutes as being addicted to the nicotine. However, if you're only smoking 1 or 2 a day, you're doing wonderfully, and don't listen to all those perfect, holier than thou jerks out there who act like they've never done anything wrong in their lives.

since you only smoke 1 cigarette a day , it means you are not addicted YET and you can stop it . its much easier to stop it now than later when its one pack a day . and smoking can ruin your health , i ll just mention some of the diseases that smoking contributes in 1-lung cancer, 2-Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease 3-esophageal cancer 4-gastric acid reflux 5-cancer of the mouth 6-coronary artery disease and heart attack 7-obstructive sleep apnea and the list goes on ....

Your body, your lungs, your arteries. Do what you want. Just not in front of me or anyone I care about. By the way, is it a big purple cigarette by chance?

I guess.. but if you don't want to be a smoker don't do it, because no matter how much u say one a day, eventually it'll turn into more and more.. trust me, my brother said the same thing, and now he's a heavy smoker and can't stop (he hadn't tried either).. so my advise would be not to!

NO! STOP IT! I just quit a 43 year habit of smoking. I have a terminal lung disease to go along with it all. STOP IT NOW! Don't think it won't happen to you...........it can and it will.
