It irks me a little, particularly if I'm the only one getting a thumbs down. It doesn't bother me if everyone is getting them. That just means there's a thumbs-down troll or stalker around. That's the reason, incidentally, that I had to disable the Fans/Contacts feature.

I have let my poor lip drop to the floor the last couple of days myself. For whatever reason, I decided to put my heart and soul into the answers I gave and believed them to be the best answer any one could possibly give. Then I would check on them later and find that someone or several people had given me a thumbs down. I wish that it was set up so that people would have to explain why they ave you a thumbs down. I don't know if perhaps what I thought I knew to be right was really wrong if the person just didn't like what I had to say or what. One person asked what country Frankfurt was in and I said Germany along with several others. I got a thumbs down and no one else did. What did I do wrong?
Anyway, obviously I pouting right along with you. This is my way of answering, hope it helps.

The first time I got a lot of Thumbs Down it almost made me cry, so I deleted my answer.
Now, 7 months later, I recently received 16 Thumbs Down on an answer, and I just laughed it off.
The Thumbs Thugs have given out so many Downs that they are now meaningless.

Nope. It ability i'm pissing somebody off so, good for me! I continuously supply you a thumbs up every time I see you cuz i admire you =). do no longer hardship with regard to the thumbs down. it particularly is probable some gal who's the two jealous of you or some dude who's mad you rejected their advances

Most of the time I never even know! Actually they are meaningless because some people just go down thru the answers and thumbs down them all!

Yes it does. It also hurt my feelings when someones question get removed, then I loose 12 points for answering the darn thing.

I do not get upset, but I often wonder what they were thinking when they gave me the thumbs down.

It seems like that happens to me ALL THE TIME so I've come to expect it and it doesn't bother me anymore. I've realized also that I don't share the same opinions as most who use this site, I think its a generation thing.
