Nice Question, without looking at the stats i would say it would be. 1. Lara 2. Ponting 3. Tendulkar BUT it's completely different. 1. Sachin Tendulkar 2. Ricky Ponting 3. Brian Lara All 3 are great players, BUT i always thought that Lara and Ponting were the more agressive players, BUT as athe stats show Tendulkar has the best S/R out of all 3. I am even more suprised that Lara's is last !! he was strokemaker, he played them big booming drives !! and he loved to get on top of the bowlers

Sachin and Lara had to play against the 2 best bowlers of our times, Glen macgrath and Shane warne.Had Ricky Pointing faced quality bowling of class of Macgrath or Wwarne, he might have not been as success full.
Btw Lara and Sachin,it is hard to choose,Lara was a better Test Player,Sachin a Better ODI player.

Ponting has been so consistent these days.
Sachin has been a maestro but was often inconsistent.
Brian has been an excellent entertainer for so many years in Test cricket.
Best I would say Sachin. For he has been a good entertainer, great scorer, good stroke maker and non-controversial both on and off the fields. Above all Sachin can contribute by both bat and ball. Otherwise, all the three have been great cricketers.

Tendulkar is the best cricketer. He is not scoring consistently know - a - days but he played really well during his days and he is not playing well by his standards but he is not playing so bad.
