Do you think J.K. Rowling started picturing the actors as she wrote the last book, rather than simply seeing the characters as she created them...?
This has been worrying me-- I can just imagine her writing it with visions of how scenes will play in the movie rather than just how they work for the book. Which may be good, it might improve both the book and the movie. But it kind of worries, me for some reason; I'm afraid she wrote the book with the movie in mind, and that the quality of the book may suffer for it.
Not that I won't enjoy it all the same, lol. Guess we'll all find out soon enough, though. :)

Yeah, you can't help but wonder, apparently she's very close to the actors. I think she's a good author though and will take it on as like influence and ideas, rather than a dictation.

Then again, maybe it might improve the movies. I could see a lot of those acotrs in there when the 6th book came out, I hope the 6th movie does justice to the book. Personally I thought that the 5th movie was terrible, it missed out so much important stuff from the book, stuff that really made the book, y'know? It seemed a bit flat the whole way through...

anyway, good question!

I don't think she's written any of the recent books, much less "Deathly Hallows" with the actors in mind. She's been imagining these characters for so long that I think she's able to seperate the characters from the actor or actress who plays them. It's probably only after she's done with the book that she starts picturing the characters as they might appear in the movies.

I think first and foremost she is a writer. She already had most of the story worked out in her head when she started the books. So if the movies make thing change a little, I don't think it would be by much.

hmm i think that you are right to some an extent

because HER WRITING STYLE DID CHANGE AFTER THE FOURTH BOOK

maybe she went on to seeing her harry as the much healthier hunk of a person DANIEL RADCLIFFE

rather than the skinny and scrawny boy that the whole world fell in love with

ANYWAYS I HATE EACH AND EVRY HARRY POTTER MOVIES

no i dont think she wrote them w/ the actors in mind. she writes them just as she always has, and she seems like the kinda person who wouldnt allow anything to effect her writing.
