I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about. If you mean in ballet, its a ballet. A show that ballet dancers put on, usually around christmas time. If you go to any big city during the holiday season, you'll probably see a billboard or 2 advertising it.
A nut cracker is also something you use to crack nuts.
I've also heard its a hip-hop dance move, but I don't know much about that
thats all that comes to mind when I think of nutcracker, but I'm not sure what you're asking about.

Its probably the most famous ballet known to mankind. I can't believe you don't know what it is. Its about a girl named Clara that gets a nutcracker for Christmas. He comes to life and they have to try to defeat the evil rats to get to the Sugar Plum Fairy so the nutcracker can be turned back into a prince. That's the shortest summary I have. Hope I helped!!!♥♥♥

It's a delightful ballet by Peter Tschaikovsky based upon a toy nutcracker that a young girl, Clara, recieves on Christmas Eve. The toy becomes alive and takes Clara on a magical "world" tour or so to speak. I have seen this ballet on stage and absolutely loved it. You might be able to borrow a video of the ballet with Maculey Caulkin (the "Home Alone" kid-sorry for the spelling) from your local library or rent it for dirt cheap from a video store. Definitely worth watching in my opinion.

wow. ok. its a beautiful ballet. its called the Nutcracker. its about a girl named clara, she gets a beautiful Nutcracker from her Godfather, Drosseilmeiier, for Christmas. Her brother breakes it, and she is devastated, until her godfather(who is a magician) mends it. she goes off to bed and "dreams" that her nutcracker comes to life, and he fights the things that try to hhurt her, and they go off to his kingdom where he is king and she is queen. the things of the kingdom come to dance for them (e.i. the sugar plum fairy, the flowers, the Dewdrop fairy etc...) and then she wakes up. the dream is supposed to be inspired from her Godfather the magician. the ballet has its own character and the story is slightly different everytime you see it at a different place, but thats the jist of it. :) hope i helped.

several answers to that one. you have the nutcracker ballet then you have the nutcracker that you use to crack nuts with and then you have the not so famous knee between the gentleman's legs nutcracker.

i think that you maybe talking about a moved known to us b-boys as a "nutcracker" it is a version of a move called a windmill, but in this move the person performing it grabs the pant area between the legs.

it is a ballet. the music is by Tchaikovsky. the original story is very grusome, but the more well known story is romantic and fairytale-ish. unlike other classics like swan lake, there isn't specific choreography for the ballet. each company has different choreography. i hope this makes things more clear!
