i am just like you. i love argument. love to debate and have people try and prove their point. its just very thrilling. to get angry and passionate.
i have a lot of pride so thats why i argue. i just need to prove my point, even if im wrong, i have to make people understand why i think the way i do.
arguing makes you feel smarter. more powerful.
of course i hate to argue and fight for little things. thats just unhealthy.
so its not crazy. its just the way you are. be happy.

I understand. I'm a history and philosophy double major and thusly I've doomed myself to a lifetime of arguing. Being a non-theist doesn't help either. I recommend taking a logic class and an argumentation class. Then join the Flat Earth Society (they don't actually believe the Earth is flat but they'll argue it into the ground). You will henceforth dominate any argument. Lawyers will break down and cry at your superior rhetoric. Politicians' heads will explode. The most fervent fundamentalist will continue being a fervent fundamentalist but they will really really not like you anymore.

Arguments arise when two individual people do not agree and they both speak their opinion for what they believe is right. If you don't agree with an issue or with what someone may say, you speak up for what YOU believe is the right answer. Arguing is a way to be heard.

Arguing or debating? I don't like arguments. Arguments are hot-headed self-centered scream fests. Debates are civil discussions with each person having a somewhat different viewpoint. I'll take a good debate anyday. I've been told I should have been a lawyer. Just tell me which side of the debate I'm on and I'll debate it haaaaaaaaaaa

first to answer your second question: no it's not crazy
and to answer the first: arguing is a developmental trait, without argument one could not see the opposing side's viewpoints and there would be no one to try and find fault in their point of view.

I don't think there is anything wrong with arguing for something you believe in.
Arguing for the sake of arguing is like masturbation. It may get you off, but it is strictly self-indulgent. Personally, I find it more pleasurable to please another.
It's not crazy, it's probably hip.

I believe- that people who "need to argue"- are not secure enough in who they ARE, and what they DO KNOW, to let the matter rest & not make a big deal over it. It's insecurity- plain & simple. A secure person- doesn't need to prove himself.
