I'm all for it. I think it's ridiculous that people are freaking out about not testing on animals. Better to raise animals to test on than to test on people. What is up with that? So we wanna kill off people because we are concerned about some rats or mice dying? Has half of the earth freaked out or something?
And now my shampoo says "not tested on animals". Why the heck not? Will it kill them? And if so, why are you selling it to me? Geez. Start testing it on them first please.

I think it's a little ridiculous to test something on a mouse and then try to convert it into human terms. What ratio do you use? Who among us would be willing to offer ourselves as a sacrifice for medicine? Would you potentially give up your life so that science can test their educated guesses? Knowing that your life might save another and that your suffering might find a cure would you put yourself on the lab table?. We find it barbaric to serve up people that way but we'll offer up other life forms. Somehow it just ain't right.
I don't believe in any living thing having to suffer. Whehter it is a loved one with cancer or a lab rat dying a painful death in the name of research. Man has run amok IMHO. We think we're smarter than we are. We just don't have all the answers and I'm unsure that killing animals is where we'll find those answers.

I say it's not wrong. I totally agree with that sort of desperation situation.
In fact without the desperate situation like that, I'd say animal testing is not wrong because there is just no other way to test out new discoveries. If there's no way to try out, our world will never improve in anything. We will just forever stuck with the same ****.
Sometimes it is necessary to sacrifice that little bit to save the rest.

I love animals. Yet I had to do animal testing as required by applicable law in relation to artificial internal organs.
However, much of small animal testing is now shifted to in vitro cell culture. Large animal testing is confined to those that have an ethics committee clearance.
I do not consider animals to be deserving less consideration than humans.
But eating them is alright? I am a vegetarian.

I think it is just WRONG! All it does is make animals suffer and have you seen the way the test animals are kept?!?! It's horrific!
-We don't test animal drugs on humans, so why should we test human drugs on animals?
-Why do people have the nerve t o think that animals don't matter?? Not all humans are important either.
If it stopped animal testing I would be a lab subject.
It is W.R.O.N.G. WRONG!!!!!!

Well, first of all it's wrong, inhumane, cowardly and cruel. But we have the 'upper hand' over these defencless and innocent creatures. We want to prevent and cure our own deseases, Therfore we are going to do it, Hopefully performed with minimum pain for the animal. If I was in a position to watch an experiment. I would have to leave the room and go sat down and cry, just sat down and cry.

Without animal testing there would be no insulin. Keep that in mind when you visit your diabetic aunt or grandma. I love animals and respect them, but if it's a choice between Bessie the cow and Bessie the diabetic I choose the diabetic.

You are assuming here, that for the Universe the life of ones mother or that of a human being for that matter, is of more importance than that of any other animal.
Imagine yourself as that animal you has to suffer for the sake of someones mother. Are 'you' willing to suffer, or go through the similar testing for the sake of your own mother, if the need arises?

I believe that animal testing is justified if no other method is available. It should be done as humanely as possible.

Whenever possible I purchase products marked "No animal testing." So I guess that's my opinion signed, sealed and delivered.
