I just got a pedicure for the first time, and I have to say it was one of the best things I have done for myself in a long time! My feet and nails are now healthy looking and I can finally wear sandals without being embarrassed. I've never indulged in any beauty treatments, such as getting a facial, nails done, etc. I not only feel a bit more confidence in terms of appearance, but I also feel like getting my nails done was a good thing in terms of health because they certainly look healthier. My question is, how can I maintain my nails and keep them looking good? How often should I go for a pedicure? I don't have a lot of money (I'm a college student), but I definitely want to keep my feet and nails in good condition. Any ideas, tips, etc.? I'd like to keep it basic and simple.

Just make sure that you use lotion on your feet daily and don't forget to put it around your cuticles too. You can probably get away with getting a pedicure once every two months. In between you can trim your nails yourself if needed and either change your polish or go in for a polish change.

to maintain the pedicure you should definitely not wear closed toe shoes so they don't chip off the nail. also, get a pedicure every month and see if you can maintain that. :)

keep them trimmed, and try and find the same color your nails are painted so touch up, and always use a top coat, it make them sleeker, nails harder and keeps your nails protected from chipping
