I just LIVE my life. I have happy times and sad times. More happy than sad, thankfully.
I have, in the past - 7+ yrs ago-, had a time where my life had extreme highs and lows and that's no fun at all. It's like you're emotional life is on a constant roller coaster and it could change multiple times in a day, week, etc. It's no way to live one's life. While the "extreme highes" might seem like a good thing or one might think they feel good.... the "extreme lows" that one gets next... they're not. They're hard to get through at times. My problem was due to situations at home with my "x". Now that he's an "x" and I'm out of that situation, things are fine and on a more level keal. Much more pleasant this way.
I do know people who are Bi-Polar and that's how they're life is on a day to day basis.... extreme highs and extreme lows... if they don't get help/treatment. There's no shame in getting help/treatment for something like Bi-Polar, depression, anxiety, or anything else like that. You shouldn't be on a daily (sometimes hourly or by the minute) roller coaster like that. You won't be able to live a "normal" (normal is what does not disrupt your life) life living on a roller coaster of extreme emotions like that.

It's good if you can deal with the swings life sends without going to great extremes yourself, at least not for long. 2700 years ago, a Greek poet wrote, "So rejoice in the good and mourn the bad, but not too much. Know the rhythm that holds mankind."

I believe the bad times make the good sweeter...but yes nobody should have too high of highs and also no too big of lows....smile at the amusement.....frown at what you think is bad...and keep your mouth shut works

It's superstitious to believe that when things are going well, eventually some bad luck has to come your way.

My philosophy of living is, "moderation in all things, including moderation." Think about what that means for a while.... :)

Most of what you describe isn't the way I choose to live my life.

what is in the MIDDLE? it is the EQUILIBRIUM....there is NOTHING!! but on both sides...lies EVERYTHING...
one cannot truly live in the middle...you have to go both BEYOND and UNDERNEATH to live a LIFE...
...ENDLESS
