Medical research has shown that most people in the U.S. do not consume adequate amounts of calcium and magnesium in their diets. More than half of all adults consume less than the RDA for these minerals.
Calcium deficiency, Magnesium deficiency, as well as other common vitamin/mineral deficiencies can contribute to or aggravate the conditions you noted. So, supplementation with these nutrients can help in those individuals with inadequate intakes or poor absorption.
A few of important points. First, these nutrients are NOT drugs. They do not relieve any symptoms unless there is an inadequate nutritional status of these nutrients (again, insufficient intakes are common).
Second, nutrients work in harmony. Your cells require ALL essential nutrients for optimum functioning. If you are deficient in one nutrient, you are likely deficient in others. Therefore, it would be appropriate to supplement with a quality complete vitamin/mineral supplement.
Finally, it is important to understand that supplements are SUPPLEMENTS. Regularly eating a diet containing healthy foods is the foundation of good health. So, in addition to supplementation, be sure to eat 5 to 9 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables every day, 3 servings of WHOLE grains daily, cook with quality oils (e.g. olive oil), eat healthy meats and fish (and supplement with fish oils), and drink lots of fresh water. And, of course, avoid junk foods, fast foods, and processed foods.
Best wishes and good luck.

I take my calcium in 2 different forms with a magnesium pill.
One is a chewable called citracal.
http://www.citracal.com/Calcium/Index.aspx
The other form I take is powder. It is called UpCal D.
http://www.globalhp.com/Global-Health-Products-UpCalD.htm
This is really good because it is tasteless and I can add it to almost anything: protein drinks, scrambled eggs, drinks, soups, yougurts, etc.,.
Both of these are Calcium Citrate which is better than Calcium Carbonate (Tums, Rolaids, etc.,.).
Here are some websites i have on calcium:

I am not sure if these claims are true with this product as I havent tried it before but here is some info on Magnesium also.

I always take my magnesium and calcium together. But remember never to take any type of iron pills with your other vitamins. Take either an hour before or after.

I take Calcium in powder form called Coral Calcium which works well because you can mix it in just about any liquid. Magnesium for me is in my oil supplements. Eating a balanced diet along with your "supplements" is an excellent way to keep your immune system in optimal working order! Good luck!
