Do headers help a car make the muscle car or race car noise? If not what is the next best thing, besides a new muffler, for a V4 Pont. G6?

noise is a by product not the goal. but yes they do. headers, good pipes no cat and a good flowing muffler make for a good sound. Tubular headers will give the exhaust more of a metallic sound and increase volume.

The headers are only a part of an exhaust system. The help, but you'll get most of the sound from the mufflers. good luck.

What you need to do is install a nice stereo system in your car, then get a recording of a Boeing B-29 and play that over your speakers. Good luck.
