I bought one of those mobility chairs off of craigslist yesterday, and I am going to tell the people that I have bone cancer too, and in a few weeks, I am going to ride the wheelchair so they will like me too. Is it illegal or anything for me to do this? I will let you know how it turns out. I just have to save up and get the batteries for it.

I can empathize with you - but; please consider ...
Are you going to work to make friends - or to provide another a service so that you can make a living??? I hope it is because you want to make money - and provide the employer a service.
Then you need to realize something important ... to not be found out - almost IMMEDIATELY would be a miracle - unless you really are disabled and you HAVE DISABLED PLATES OR THE MIRROR HANGING CARD ...
Otherwise - you may make other's upset when they find this out and your problems will really multiply.
will you be using the disabled enterances, the disabled toilets and/or etc. ... which would definately cause problems if you were not disabled and use them as if you were - feigning a disability.
Believe you me - I been out of work since 92, with a disabliity and I would personally not like people to come up behind me and walk the way I do - so they can get attention ... actually - I do not want the attention whatsoever - but my cheery attitude seems to draw people to me that I don't even want to talk to ... but; being cheery is a tough job -
I hope you know what you are getting into if you do this thing ... and,

To ANSWER YOUR QUESTION THOUGH ... no, it is not illegal to treat him better than you, don't let it get you down either ...
At Christmas time - kids get free toys ... bums on the street get a big meal for free ... and I get nothin' ... But, I look at it like this ...
People who have all they want and in excess - sometimes they get this guilty consciense going at 2 or 3 times of the year ... and for them to invite over a bunch of friends and to buy all kinds of stuff for their family and friends ... but realizing that there are so many people out there needy ...
Well - it makes them feel much better and enjoy that meal so much more if they contribute a can of canned pumpkin to the food shelter so that it could help feed the 100,000,000 starving in America ... they did their part and now they can all sit down to that great big meal that will have so much left over that the dog will too - enjoy them times of the year.
People probably feel sorry for Greg and that isn't right - sure Greg don't want that ... but; those in great health simply feel obligated to help.
Just don't bring Greg a cup of coffee with a loogie in it out of vengeance ... but; maybe if you were nice to him as well - the others would let you in the "Be NICE TO GREG CULT" at work and you would all get along better???

I think you should just get the word LOSER tatooed across your forehead.
People probably don't like to because you are a little snivelling worm of a man who feels so insecure because someone in a wheelchair gets some sympathy. People are probably nice to him because he is a nice person.
You are going to fake bone caner, and start coming to work in a wheelchair???
Did George Costanza get away with in SEINFELD?? No.
The only thing that makes you totally disgraceful for wanting to to this is that George did it in a make belive TV show. You're doing it in real life.

Actually, both of them said nothing at all. But they were good at it. I thought Greg Nice tried to do a solo thing between "Jewel Of The Nile" and "Blazin' Hot" and failed. Anyway, I'll pick Smooth B. Greg Nice has been beatboxing and rhyming with T. La Rock and Ultramagnetic before he broke out with Smooth B. and his voice is annoying at times 'aye yo, Dizzy Gillespe plays a sax' right.

I am not usually offended, but in this case I am. Ohhh, poor you, nobody likes you....it isn't easy being confined to a wheelchair you dope. I am a paraplegic, and I feel blessed that I don;t have bone cancer. Anyone who pretends to be somehow ill or handicapped in order to garner sympathy or answers points is not a good person.

Maybe you are jealous? Maybe your not exactly the kindest person in the world and that is why they don't like you.
What happens when they find out you are lying? If your willing to lose your job over something like this then go for it!
Maybe Greg will run over your toes and you can walk around on crutches and everyone will like you, wouldnt that work better because then you won't have to lie?

Judging by this question, I'm guessing that your personality is the reason that nobody is nice to you. I doubt it has anything to do with whether you are in a wheelchair or not.

if you apply for disabilty than that is illegal. but you are crazy if you really did what you said. instead of wasting money on that crappy stuff you should buy drink everybody at work and call it a day.
