I have been handing out 20 or so business cards with in the last 2 - 3 weeks... I haven't received any calls yet I tell them my hourly rate and don't understand why I haven't reserved any calls? By doing volunteer work, you've damaged your pricing point. Everyone now expects free.

Your prices are very reasonable, and if anything, are too low.

Are you saying that you are trying to sell your services to the very same people that you are providing volunteer services to? Many of these people may not have the resources or inclination to pay for your services.

I would suggest you expand your marketing efforts. Here are a few ideas:

- Contact local computer stores in the area and let them know about your services.

- Contact other computer consultants and trainers - they will have projects that are too small for them to handle and will want to refer them to someone like you.

- Post flyer's on local bulletins boards in stores, community centers, etc.

- Post free listings on Craigslist.

Finally, expecting to get responses within just a couple of weeks is unrealistic. It can take several months to a year to start seeing results - be patient.
