Large oscillating fans with metal blades are also called high velocity fans for its ability to bring in fresh air from the outside & exhaust the warm air inside the house. Place the unit near a window. Some of the windows in your house needs to be opened for the warm air to escape.

In the fall when they go on sale.
Stores can only stock so many items and when it starts to get colder the need for fans drops so they are more likely to put them on sale to get rid of them.
The worst time to buy an oscillating fan or any fan would be in the spring when it starts to get warm. That is when the demand will be at its highest and so stores can charge more.

Id say if you talking price wise it would be best at the end of summer when you can pick one up on clearence....Did you know over 45% off all manufactured products are sold at discount prices????

Fall is a good time. Stores will have their end of summer sales and that's when they want to get rid of them.
