Im going to use this product to cure my fish , and it says on the back to remove the carbon filter.

My question is do you also remove the Bio Fiber Filter and just let the filter circulate the water for 48 hours?

My Convict Cichlid has a weird growth on his left pectoral fin , while his right pectoral fin is normal.
Any idea what that is?

First and foremost:
Diagnose-> then treat. Not the other way around. You could end up doing more harm then good.

About the carbon filter pad:
It is a good idea to remove it during treatment and replace with a new one after treatment period. Some think it's best to remove/shut off the other filters, others say leave them on. Ideally, you would treat in a 'hospital tank' seperate from your other fishes.

About the fish:
More detail is a good idea to generate a more precise answer. Wouldn't want to leave out an important detail and treat for something the fish doesn't suffer from.

I would recommend removing both
The reason that you have to remove it, is that the water can flow dircetly through your filter without getting the medication taken away from the carbon, I would think that the biowheel saves all the bad bacteria, so i would take it out as well
And you do have to let the filter on, otherwise it won't circulate good enough through your tank

check out this site, on the bottom are all the diseases with treatment, hope you find your answer there

Hope that helps
