Detroit is such a beautiful city! The people are so friendly and it's a very safe place. It's so safe, most people don't even lock their doors. What a wonderful city!! I think you should come visit some time.

No. the crime is actually very high compared to other large cities b/c the manufacturing jobs are gone, people did not have a back-up plan (like an education to fall on), and people have moved out in droves. Housing values, even now, continue to plummet.
the airport in Detroit is awesome, though

I'm sure the outskirts are nice, but not the inner city.
