Just a side note: Mara Jade is Luke Skywalkers wife's name. My husband is a big star wars fan and I thought that it would be cool to use a name that not too many people know is from Star Wars.

I love this name! It's gorgeous and there is a lot of names the child could,d go by...Ann, Anna, Bella, Mara, Jade, A.J. etc.
I wouldn't change a thing!

Don't like Mara... love Jade (wanted to use it for my daughter but my husband was against it). Drop the Mara... it's just too long. Plus, if she turns out to be a popular girl... kids will use her initials as her nickname... A.J.
