Oprah has known Obama for years, they support to same church. Oprah is giving him a huge fun raiser, at her ranch . I am sure the African American issue, could probably be true., but they have known each other for a while. I know she use to support Hillary, but now she is supporting Obama. Oprah is a very wealthy person, and we know how money works in elections.

Yes, I think Oprah thinks Barack Obama can win, and I don't think it's only because his father is African. After all, you could use a similar argument for Oprah supporting Hilliary Clinton - they're both women.
Barack Obama is from the Chicago area, as is Oprah, and I think he has a hopeful, positive message for America.
Of course, maybe Oprah wants to be appointed to an ambassadorship somewhere.

She gave the maximum amount allowed by law. That's her right. And I don't think she'd support him if she didn't believe in him and his ability to win. However, I wouldn't be surprised if she is using the race card and supporting him because he's a black man. If so, I consider that blind allegiance and not a wise way to do things. I'd like to think she's also supporting him because she knows him and what he can do. (Then she could be his press secretary once he's elected President! haha!!)
Personally, I like him and might even vote for him next year. But I'm not committing to anything until I learn more about him and what he plans to do as President.

Are you only going to not vote for him because he's not white? Are we only going to support white candidates for ever? I think she thinks he can win, and I am sure all African- Americans would like to see one of their own in the White House. Isn't it every American parents dream or vow to tell our children that in America, if you work hard, do good in school you could be President? Well if Obama makes it or Colin Powell were to make it, then African Americans could actually believe they do have a chance. Is there something wrong with that?

Oprah would not support him just because he is African American. If she supported Hillary you would say it's because she is a woman.
You would find any reason to discredit Obama because you are afraid he will win this.
We will all be better off when he does.
Obama is an experienced Senator from Illinois, and he was opposed to the Iraq war from the start, that shows good judgment. What he lacks in experience he gains in Character, unlike the dumb Bush. Wow, look where experience has gotten us so far!

Please spell right will you .
It must read, she gave him lots of money!
Anyhow, what Oprah does Oprah just does. I think she can do with her money what she wants to do. Why would Obama not have a chance? I haven't heart his political agenda. I have not made up my mind about any of this people. If Obama wins, it would make history. And hopefully we protect him well. Worried he will be shut down like J.F Kennedy!
To Tia,
stop being a smart punk your self. DO you have a University Degree like I have? Do you speak multiple languages besides your English like I am? Well, if you have all of that than and only than you're entitled to correct me. Not every body is perfect you know. And typo when typing fast can occur.

She should be his VP, she could then dump a couple hundred million in the campaign and beat Hillary.
