Regardless of whether you believe she was covert or not...she was still cut loose by the White House for political reasons!

They were angry because her husband proved Yellowcake Uranium claim by the U.S. about Saddam going to Niger trying to aquire it was false and then more came out that the White House knew it was probably false before using it as a justification for invasion of Iraq!
Bush's speech writers wanted to take it out of his speech!
Bush used it anyway!

All that aside hasn't the fact that they cut this woman loose ...left her jobless...enough of a reason for people to question if a high level government job is even worth wanting to have?!?!?!

Are people that are being courted by the government considering the betrayal?

How can we let them off the hook for this crap?

Or Pat Tillman?

Now the White House is using 'Executive Privilege' to avoid answers about why they lied about this man's death!!!

I wonder...what did anybody do to Valerie Plame? Left her jobless? Puhleeeze. The lady is now an anti-Bush hack and will be rich selling her whining to people like you.

A soldier shot Pat Tilman. The military is punishing seven soldiers for what happened. A retired general is being demoted. If he was murdered, it might never be proved. What is your source for the executive privilege you are claiming. Never heard of that for the Tilman case. Why would the government murder a great public relations poster soldier? Valerie Plame should not have recommended her husband and that was her expertise--not his. She was not covert because if she had been Richard Armitage was a source of the leak and was never questioned and would have been charged. He admitted to being the source.

Let me tell ya, I have worked for both the federal government, and 2 state governments. Every job I had was highly political and the stuff I saw go down was nasty. It is human nature to be a political animal. Back stabbing, rumor mongering, character assassination; it is all part of the game. I wish it wasn't so. I prefer to play the game like Ronald Reagan did; with fairness and integrity.

it just shows the power that they have to destroy anyone that they are scared of. the truth does hurt that administration. you can tell by the way they whine.
when i hear executive privilege, i know that they are guilty. if they were doing their jobs ethically, there would be no reason to hide behind such a thing. just like tillman's death.

at it again allen? always a pleasure to read your comments.

The CIA said Valerie Plame was covert.
The Republican Administration said she was not covert so revealing her identity was not treason.
So, who do you believe? The CIA or this Cheney/Bush Republican Administration?
Thanks

Public service is an honorable endeavor. It might be wise, however, to wait to join the government until the Bush administration leaves office.

It doesn't always work out badly, I got to retire early because some Republican Political Appointee wanted to give my job to one of his friends. If I had cared about the job it might have hurt me.

Just remember, they are the Aristocracy and can take whatever you have when it pleases them

You work for your country because you love it. I do agree though that the Plame affair is going to damage the morale of those working to keep all of us safe.

But that is why people will continue to work in these jobs. Because they care.

If I worked for the government, I would do it for the good of the American people, not to serve the politicians, regardless of the consequences
