hi im planning to buy final fantasy 3 for the ds. I haven't played the old final fantasy 3 ( the one that's in 2d) so will there be a problem for me with the story or anything? And how much is it ?? i live in california^^

All the FF series do not have story line in common. So you can play them in any order, they do have recurring characters like Sid, Airships, Summons, and Spells.
FFVI was released here with the title of FFIII on the SNES. FFIII for the DS is the original and the first time localized. I think the price is about 39.99 or less since it is about a year since it was released.

the storylines between ff3 for the super nes and the new ff3 for the ds are nothing alike. the ff3 for the ds should cost anywhere from $25-$35 plus tax

No, there shouldn't be any problem, it's the re-make of the Japanase version of FF3 and it basically has it's own story. I bought it for $29.99, but it's probally lower now, try Gamestop/EB Games etc. you could probally pick it up even cheaper.

The story's good and relatively easy to understand. Itll probably cost you like 30-35 bucks

i think old final fantasy was supposed to be like 6 or somethin. this is the actual final fantasy IIIs debut in the US and you should have no problem jhmping in
