Let's go with this example for starters (of course, you can input your own)....The secret involves a foreign official and exposing it could potentially change the runnings of an organization.

Depends on who it is and what the secret is
Example:
Osama came to my house and told me that he planted bombs around the US so it would implode on detination.
Id tell.

Hi!
This is also close to techniques used by people who abuse children. Part of the grooming process is the idea of "this is our secret" which eventually leads to "if you yell it will change everything. No one will believe you and I will harm you or someone you love".
Though there are good secrets - like surprise anniversary parties - in the main secrets are dangerous and the truth must out to expose the sinister and criminal intentions of the keepers of secrets.

Theres irony in this actually. No I wouldn't hold in it the first time around, but after see no one gives a **** and thinks a psychopath, it help you understand its not you holding the secret, it people hiding from the secret. Ive done this and it leads to nowhere. After I learned my lesson, I will wait for the time and place for it.
