I am having my Masters of Science in Psychology and thesis is one of our requirements. I have difficulty finding a new topic happening nowadays in our society, Philippines. I am aware that I have limited resources and information as to what are the daily experiences of Filipinos that affect our growth as a person, as a family, and as a society. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. I need your help. Thank you.

I would normally say: "Why people do what they do." However, Filipinos seem to have a preponderance of high intelligence in comparison to other cultures INCLUDING Americans. I for one would like to research how that is. Is it due to western influence? Is there any legacy cultural traits from ancient Filipino tribal groups that shed any light on this? My only experience is with westernized Filipinos so I have no frame of reference. However, you might have a better dataset of research candidates available to you.

I also can't get over why most of the modern American-Filipino women I've seen are so beautiful too. I think the Hollywood actress Tia Carrera (of mixed ethnicity) is one great example..

I know this may not be related but I also noticed another trait however it is physiological and not necessarily psychological but body stature is a curious trait. I've noticed amongst Latin cultures like Puerto Ricans, Central and South Americans, Mexicans, and the Philippines that there seems to be a trait towards small stature which may be a pituitary gland anomaly, diet and/or nutrition related. Of course there are exceptions to the rule such as gigantism but is quite rare in my opinion.
