The difference is the same as the difference between High School and Junior High School or Intermediate School.
Once you finish high school you are qualified to learn how to fling fast food or mop the floor. To get the basic skills you need to get a decent job you need to go to college; the next step after high school. The first 4 years are your UNDERGRADUATE years. Most people get an undergraduate degree called a bachelor’s degree; as in a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering. My father got that degree when he went to school and became involved in the space program from almost the start to the space shuttle.
Other fields like medicine require more education. Other people also like to get more education so they can get a better job. It is common in the business world for people to get their bachelor's degree and later in life to return to college for their master's degree.
A master's degree program takes 2-3 years and gives the person a master's degree. It is a sign of increased and specialized knowledge in a field. Medical Doctors need to go through a master's program to learn the basic skills for a doctor, even after that program they are not allowed to practice medicine. A doctor needs a 4 year degree; a bachelor's degree. Then they get a medical degree, and then they get an advanced degree through an internship program.
When a person has a master’s degree they can continue to go to Graduate School to earn a doctorate degree. This is the highest degree offered in any field. When a medical doctor becomes a doctor he can add the initials M.D. (medical doctor) to his name. When a person graduates a doctoral program they become a PHD (Latin initials for Philosophiæ Doctor) and are called doctor. A person with a doctorate in engineering knows a whole lot about engineering, more than most. They typically specialize in a certain area.
A bachelor's degree; is an undergraduate program and is the basic degree needed to get a decent job. A master's degree comes next, then a doctorate; both of which are graduate degree programs. You cannot enter a graduate degree program until you earn your undergraduate degree. Anyone in college who hasn't earned their degree yet is called an undergraduate.

The earlier answers are partially correct.
An undergraduate course is a "Diploma" or a 3 or 4 year Bachelors degree.
Graduate Course is for "Graduate Diploma", Masters, a PhD or other Doctorate degree.
In many American universities students need to do a degree prior to doing law or medicine, (pre-law or pre-Med) but in most countries these are undergraduate degrees then they can go on to do a Masters Degree in Medicine or Law. Few lawyers or doctors go on to do PhD's or Doctorate degrees (i.e PhD in Medicine or a Doctorate of Medicine [these are different degrees], or PhD in Law or a Doctorate of Law [again, these are different degrees].

An undergraduate is a person who does not yet hav a degree but is working towards a Bachelor's degree. Once you have that degree, you would go to graduate school to work for your Master's degree. After receiving your Master's you may go on to post-graduate studies to earn your Doctorate degree. After that you are simply doing post-doctoral or post graduate work. After high school, students enter undergraduate studies in order to take their first degree at a college or university.
You would only go to graduate school or post- graduate and post-doctoral work if you intended to take other degrees.

Undergraduate degrees would be like an Associates (2 year) or a Bachelor's degree (4 year) as well as some certificate programs. Graduate degrees would be like your Masters, Ph.D., J.D. (Juris Doctorate), and an MBA, among others. All graduate programs require an undergraduate degree.

Under graduate is the initial college education. The first 4 years.
Graduate school is an option after you get your 4 year BA/BS degree.
Graduate school deals in INDEPENDENT STUDIES
The first 4 years of college you learn what is already known
In the next 2-4 years you learn a little more, plus you are expected to go out and find something new to tell those who already know about.
For the Master's program you are expected to show the university staff you are an equal with them
For the PH D program you are expected to tell them something they never knew before
You must start to educate them

You begin with undergraduate; that's when you receive your first, four year degree (bachelor's degree- BA/BS). Graduate school is for the master's level and PhD. It also includes Law School and Medical School.
After high school you will begin your undergraduate studies. Hope that clears it up for you. Good luck!
