Yeah, drives go up and down.. hormones / stress / physical activity.. lots of things come into play.. You need to look at your life and see if you can figure out why. Are you overly tired? stressed? find yourself attractive? find your spouse attractive? If you can't find something, you may want to see your doctor.

As a husband, my answer would have to be yes. Speaking from experience, sex has only declined, dwindled away, been all but forgotten. In fact, I'd go as far to say my wife changed into a completely different person after about the first year of marriage. After our first son was born, sex became more and more infrequent and not long after our second son came into this world, sex stopped altogether. Do you have children? That might have something to do with it, I don't know your situation.

I think it is common. A lot of women and men get comfortable with each other and know that they, if they're lucky, have found their one and only and don't feel the need to impress anymore. They know that they don't need to have sex with their husband or wife all the time to keep them around. Also women don't hit their sexual peak until they are in their late 30's, while men it theirs in their late teens early 20's. I am in the same perdicament you are. I don't always feel like having sex. He wants it all the time and I can do without it. He always thinks I don't want him, but that isn't true. I love him dearly and love being close to him, but sex isn't my top priority.

Me either.
I do not think it is a common thing and you may want to talk with your doctor.
But, if you...
do all the house work, childcare, finances, grocery shopping, yard work, etc., etc. etc. with out any help then why would you want to have sex. The most romantic thing a husband can do for an overworked, overstressed wife is take the trash out, feed the kids and put them to bed, et his wife take a bubble bath, long shower, etc. and relax. Then, maybe you will want to have sex.

Your sex drive can be down for alot of reasons, like poor health, insecurities, and maybe just too much other stuff to think about in life (like cooking, working, cleaning, kids, etc.) I think if I felt that way, I would try really hard to do something to make myself feel better so my husband stays satified and content w/ our marriage. Go jogging, exercise is good for your sex life.

Yup!!!!! especially those of us are overworked and unappreciated. My husband spends to much time on the computer. I'm sure he is having an affair. Computer password protected, secret cell phone calls behind closed doors. After 22 years of marriage he has totally NO respect for me. I'm his house keeper/maid. Always putting me down. How do I get help?

I don't know if its common but I know that you are not the only one. The only reason we have sex now is because I feel like it is part of being a wife.

yes...it's normal....I'm kind of the same way...I think mine is due to being on Depo Provera, and also I just had our baby girl about 7 months ago...and I breastfed...so sex just seemed unappealing to me....I am trying to get interested in it again....since my husband and I haven't even been married a month...i don't want things to get boring yet....my adive would be to find out what you like...and then slowly introduce those things into the bedroom or whatever room you may be in..with your hubby!!!good luck and have fun!!!!

It could be a hormone thing. How old are you? Did you have a hysterectomy? When estrogen levels drop, it is normal for a women to have a diminished sex drive. You should talk to your gynecologist about this.

Honey, I guarantee if you and your husband split up you would want sex again. You have lost the passion in your marriage next it will be your man.
