are there drug dogs at this airport? if so, any tips on how to avoid detection by them?

The best way to "avoid detection" is not to have any drugs on your person or in your checked baggage. Canines, some trained for drugs and some for explosives, randomly and routinely screen luggage after it has been checked and patrol the public areas of the airports. Although I do not specifically remember seeing a canine at CLE I have at almost every other aiport I have been to and through in the past several years. Leave the contraband at home or risk being caught and arreted. The choice is yours.

One tip would be to stop handling drugs.

OMG! Are you trying to go to jail... If these drugs are for personal usage my best recommendation is to use prior to airport entrance! Hope this helps.. You can also try substituting mass amounts of booze!!
