I don't understand why people will make all these excuses why they would'nt vote for Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.
Just say "i'm a republican" or give an educated answer. Don't say because "he's an eratic Muslim" or "She's a lesbian" (which aren't true btw). What does that have to do with anything? That's just being prejudice and ignorant. I mean who cares if he was muslim? It's still god. Who cares if she was a lesbian?(still aren't true) They're still human beings who believe in helping the country & the world. I feel sorry for those people because they really don't know how stupid they sound. I personally think they would make great presidents, but that's just me.

You don't have to "think"- to give lousy excuses. You DO have to "think"- to give good answers. Obviously- alot of the people on this Site- don't do much thinking. I agree with you a 100 %. -NOT merely because you're actually THINKING, but because you're ALSO trying to "understand". And THAT- is the GREATEST attribute of them ALL... :)

People usually say what they have heard. Most people don't make up their own ideas, they borrow other peoples. That's where they get confused. The heard so and so say they didn't like them, so they think they don't like them, but don't really know why they don't like them. So they just say whatever they have heard or whatever pops up in their mind first.

If we all took the time to think out how we feel about a subject, or a person, then we could give more intelligent answers.

Personally, I would not vote for H. Clinton. Bill gave her the Health Care System to try and fix, when he was president and she really messed it up. With the HMO's and PPO's it has made it harder for us as patients to get seen by the best doctors, and also for doctors to do their job. Doctors are spending thousands of dollars, just to have someone talk to insurance compaines for them.

I agree there needs to be a better system, but the one Hillary came up with is a disaster. This could be an indication of how she will run the country, so I am not voting for her.

She may be a nice person and she may really want to help the country out, but she is not Presidential material. Heck I am a nice person and want to help the country out, but I am not running for President.

I think a lot of us females will vote for her because she is a female, and a lot of us want to see a female as President.

Well, I am more about what's best for the country, and I don't feel or think H. Clinton will do to good of a job, nor am I willing to give her a try. We are at War, we need a person who has a back ground to be able to deal with all of the major problems we are having right now, and Hillary can not do that job best.

Firstly, I would not vote for either of these people because of what they believe, both personally and politically.

Secondly, if they were Muslim or a Lesbian it would matter a great deal and a great many would care. If such were true of either of these people they would have absolutely no chance at being President of the United States (and rightly so on both counts). I would vote for neither, as would not a huge percentage of the electorate, regardless of what they claimed to believe politically.

If you do not understand that, that is simply something you will need to investigate and come to grips with for it is reality.

In principle I agree. I would have no problem voting for a woman or a black person. I have a problem voting for an inexperienced Senator, and a Senator who has done nothing although she has a little more experience.

I want to see a black, Latino or women president, just not the ones that are running.

You don't understand what? Prejudice? You don't believe it is reasonable to judge a person based (at least partly) on his religion? You know for a fact that Hilary prefers men if she had a choice?(and if no political/social problems ensued)?? It sounds to me like what you don't understand is yourself.
SO, I guess either you can read minds or you DON'T know Hilary's orientation for sure. And that if I was a member of a religious sect that believed in ritual sacrifice, group rape, female circumcision, the subjugation of women, segregation, slavery and murder of non-believers that I would be someone you would vote for? ( I'm gathering a bunch of particularly repugnant things together - not intended to be any "real" religion) Religious belief does define someone to some extent. So before you get on your soap box telling the rest of us how stupid we sound, I'd say look in the mirror and listen to yourself. I do agree that often people make excuses for the complex reasons they have for not voting one way or another. But get used to it. It is not their responsibility to deliver their innermost thoughts and beliefs to you for your analysis. That is what we call Life. Get over it.

Evidently, many people on YA are not very knowledgeable about the candidates; they just want to give their 2 cents worth, by blindly repeating what others of their ilk state.

Hillary Clinton is neither Socialist nor Communist; she is a moderate Democrat. She believes in a national health care plan; which, if it is government-controlled, is a socialistic plan. However, one issue should not label her politics.

And the defamation slung about charismatic, articulate and intelligent Obama is appalling. Get over it; Obama is not a terrorist, nor a sympathizer.

Republicans should be afraid; either of these two candidates can whoop any of your candidates in an election.

Are you suuuuure Hillary's not a lesbian?

I don't know anyone who's made either of those claims. I don't make excuses. I think they're both mad, just like any other liberal. Neither of them have a clue why we're in this war, neither of them have a realistic view of the world.... I could go on and on.

I agree with you 100% I think we need a change and some people are so comfortable that they don't want to make that change. We need to get people involve so they will vote.

well, hillary will be president. no doubt. she's got the corporate money, the media behind her, no one is running against her.

bbarak is a black man. in america that means he's black first, american second. 87% of the country could never be sure he was representing their best interest

Hilary is looking for the "new world order". One world government. The party here in the US will be over if she and her friends have their way. As for Obama? I don't believe he's been "tested" enough yet - but would consider him in the future.
