I've had some of those trojans too.
Spybot Search and Destroy always helps. It's excellent for cleaning out spyware and malware.
If you know where the infected file is, reboot your computer and log into safe mode, and delete it.

You're getting lots of advice about specific programs and precious little about how to use any of them to rid yourself of this problem. I have done this for clients' computers infected just as you describe, so I know it works.
Others will quarrel with my choice of (free) programs--and there are lots of choices, many good ones, not only mine. Use mine to clean your computer now--and research any others, make different choices later, if you wish. You can get info at download.com (and many programs).
First, run on-line free scan, Housecall. Go to housecall.trendmicro.com and click Housecall. Accept terms of use, choose a kernel (I use Java), scan for your computer (not selected files/folders), and when finished, clean or fix the problems found.
Next, download, install and update AVG Free (grisoft.com) and Ad Aware, the free version for personal use (lavasoft.com).
Now, turn off system restore (right-click My Computer, choose Properties, then System Restore tab) and restart in safe mode (F8 while restarting).
Run full-system scans, Ad Aware and AVG. Fix all problems found.
Restart your computer. Turn on System Restore.
It will be a good idea to clean your hard drive, and download and install a firewall, too.

Avast has some great free antivirus programs available. This is what I use on my work computer and I've never gotten a virus. They update their software frequently, so you know that it's always equipped with the latest virus protection information.

If you're using a Microsoft operating system like Windows you can go to the Microsoft web page and find downloads that will protect and clean up your computer. Their web page is pretty clear and not hard to use.

you should go to ur start up menu..go to Help and Support..and there should be a selection saying Restore Settings or something close to that..and u can select a date that u know ur computer was without the virus..select it..then it restores it to that date..so it will run like it did before the virus

Avast! is a great free software program, it can be found at www.avast.com. I also suggest getting Spybot-seach and Destroy. It is another free software program and can be found at www.spybot.net. Together these 2 programs will protect you. They are both free and are free to update. I have used them for 3 years.
