I believe that all people are created equal. But how can a person look down at another people like he or she are not even human at all?

That's a tough question Kev, and I've gotta say that there really isn't a simple answer for it. While I don't exactly believe we're all created equal (as talents, genetics, and gifts to seem to vary) I would never consider a person to be below myself as far as the respect they deserve from others, not without getting to know them. For me, I try to judge people by their actions. If they seem as though they're not worthy of respect, then it may be hard to respect them. The only people that I look down on are those who have proven to me by their actions that they should be looked down upon, and definately any person who hates someone just because they're a different race (which by the way is a falsehood as their's less than 1% of a difference in the genetic codes of people of different "races) definately goes down a few notches in my book.

I wish I could explain it from their angle to help you understand, but unfortunately I havn't a clue how they can be like that. Hope that helps a bit.

God Bless,

I agree with the one who said tell them you will pray for them. Also, I would also agree with the one who said we should avoid answering their posts. They are trying to provoke you, and anyone else they possibly can. They are like a little kid trying desperately to get attention. They are so desperate for that attention, they don't care if it's good attention or bad attention.
It is scientifically and biologically proven that the genetic differences between two pple of two different races is less than the genetic differenc between two pple of the SAME RACE. In fact, scientifically speaking THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS RACE. There is no biological basis for it. Ethnicity, yes, because each individual culture is beautiful and worth remembering and celebrating. I got this information from my biology professor in last semester's biology class.
I do believe that racism is a desease which affects people in every ethnicity. No one should be treated differently b/c of their ethnicity. Even to treat someone better because they are a minority is racism. What makes me sad is, even though segregation was (legally) stopped decades ago, now we (as in all of us of all ethnicities), segregate OURSELVES. Why do we do this? If your child (say for instance we are different ethnicities for the purpose of this example) were told she was not allowed to sit next to my child in the school cafeteria. You would call the school and complain every day, call your freinds and have them do the same, and with her chin held high, your daugter would also come sit at my daughter's table anyhow, just to make a point. Yet, walk into a school cafeteria, what do you see? Everyone sitting at a table with people who's skin is the same color as theirs. When we get past this, we finally win the battle and defeat racism.

Some people have convinced themselves that they somehow deserve credit for being the race they are, and that somehow others are to blame for being the race they are. They think, "I am so proud of being this color", without considering what the pride is for. They didn't create the race, and didn't choose the color they were born with, but they are determined to be so proud that they consider themselves superior to others. Anyone who thinks this way should be recognized as unintelligent.

Racism is based on ignorance and fear, and it results in dangerous stupidy.

We all have to deal with racist people one day or another, so brace yourself, it is a difficult job and you cannot always avoid this type of individuals.

Because we all may have, to different degrees, a tendancy to be racist, see how you overcome your own attitude when you are confronted with one of them.

On the top of that, racism goes with irrational aggressivity, so be careful.

The absence of understanding due to lack of proper education on love of humanity especially on spirituality. People seem to disregard the importance of soul overpowered by materialism.

Deal with them with love and forgiveness. Returning their hatred with any version of your own hatred only continues the cycle.

Fight against racism by finding one way to publicly declare your opposition to racism. I declare my race to be "human" and that is how I answer all questions and fill out all forms that ask about my 'race'.

Refuse to use or acknowledge any racist terminology. I refuse to use the terms black, white, hispanic, caucasion, etc. I use terms like man, woman, American, good, evil. I judge people by their deeds, not their color.

As to your second question, I don't know. I just don't understand it.

May God bless you and your search for Truth.

Who knows why people have these beliefs, but I do believe that the best way to deal with them is to just ignore them and try not to let them bother you. I've realized, especially after some time on this site, is that all they're looking for is to get a rise out of people. I report them, but I've stopped answering their "questions." If I let myself get angry and respond as such, they've won and achieved their goal.

Also, I've learned that I'm the only person who defines myself. My friends and family don't define me, though they are part of how I define myself, and racists most definitely do not define me. They will try to, but that doesn't make me their stereotype or prejudice.

There sure is a lot of racism in the world, but other than trying to persuade people appropriately to change their minds, there's little you can do. The best thing to do is look inside yourself and make sure that you are completely free of prejudice, and then others will learn from your example.

Tell them the truth. More whites commit crimes than blacks in 2006 according to http://www.ussc.gov/ANNRPT/2006/table4.pdf
28% whites versus 24% blacks

The truth is that white immigrants couldn't afford to pay proper wages so they enslaved Africans. Whites shouldn't open up plantations if they can't afford it. The white immigrants also committed genocide against the Indians because they couldn't afford to buy the land.

The media and school system cover up the truth by not teaching kids that slavery and genocide are wrong.

Because as long as parents and others teach "hate" it will be around and that includes racism, homophobia, etc. I've very greatful that my mother never taught us to hate. I'd like to think that I'm not a racist person that I accept people as they are.
