Right now, I am taking algebra three (a continuation of algebra two for my school) I originally signed up for trig, but my school put me in statistics. I was wondering if that class is supposed to be the class I should be in, or if I should switch. If I should switch, should I switch to pre calculus or trigonmetry and why?

I also think I want to become a financial analyst when I grow up, but I am not too sure yet.

Whether you take trigonometry, precalculus, or statistics depends on what you want to do with your life. If you go into psychology, sociology, or any of the other social sciences, statistics will probably be more useful. If you go into one of the biological sciences or business, statistics will probably be more immediately useful but some calculus might also be helpful. For engineering or the physical sciences, especially physics, you will definitely be needing lots of calculus, though you will also need a fair amount of statistics and probability in certain branches like information theory. Trigonometry will be directly useful in shop and engineering. When you get into integration, you will be using trigonometric identies a lot.

It depends on what you want to pursue. I wasted my time in a Calc II req when I should have been able to take stats. Find out what math will be best for what field you plan to enter.

stats is a good class.
Trig is not taught as much anymore
precalc is good if you plan on pursing a math degree or math related field in college.
