I'm not necessarily reffering to the classic. I just chose my wording for stylistic purposes.

"Purgatorio." In some form or other, many of us are doing penance & this may be viewed in a secular as well as a spiritual perspective.
We're learning & growing if we take the opportunites to learn & grow from our experiences, observations & reflections. If we don't take these opportunites, we suffer the consequences of our own inertia.

Earth would be Purgatorio trap between Heaven (Paradiso) and Hell (Inferno).

None of the above.

"Purgatorio", "Inferno" or the "Paradiso" are highly religious concepts so none of the above.

Whether Earth is heaven, hell or something in between, is I think, entirely up to each of us. We all make our own heavens and hells; it's a pity that so few of us realize that we actually have a choice in the matter.

In some surreal ways life does resemble the more bizarre aspects of Divine Comedy. But it doesn't resemble it enough to be any of it, seems to me.

Neither. It just IS.

We are energy. As such Reality is what we make it. Not so easy when others are trying to get us to live their chosen realities.

Religion just makes this stuff up. Fear is a powerful motivator.

At the rate we all suffer once in a while, I'd call it "purgativo".
