I take a couple of drops of therapeutic Lavender on a cotton ball and place it in the ear. Pain gone! Works really great!!!! Never put oils directly into the ear and use only 100% oils! Good luck!

For regular earaches, I normally use warmed Mullein/Garlic/Olive Oil with excellent results. With swimmer's ear, which is what this is, you can try it, I'm just not guaranteeing the same results. Buy better fitting ear plugs? Heat should help. You can also try either isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) or hydrogen peroxide. You'll hear the peroxide as it works, but it will NOT hurt you. It will just sound funny. I believe there are also OTC drops you can get for swimmers' ear. We had to get a prescription for my son, however, to get it to resolve.

You probaly have a little water in your ear try a hair dryer, run it past your ear a couple of minutes. Old family cure, sweet oil, available alnost anywhere. Heat a little on a spoon, with a lighter, make sure that it is not to hot w/ finger, spill into ear and use a cotton ball, almost immediate relief. Good Luck!

Barbie's answer of peroxide is a great option. If that doesn't do it, try ear candles. You will need a second person to help with them, but if you use them every 3-4 months, you will probably notice far fewer earaches &, depending on any earwax buildup, possibly better hearing. (many {but not all} ear candling claims are bs, but they really do clear wax builup from the outer ear canal)

Get swimmer's ear!! Its sold at any grocery store that has a pharmacy section. I know its not a "home remedy" but it will dry out your ear after swimming and will prevent an ear infection. I use it all the time. It's AMAZING!! I have to use it because I get those ear aches all the time... :) Give it a try!!

hydrogen peroxide in the ear for about 1/2 hour and repeat with other ear if infected. Try getting Garlic pills from the health food store to work as an antibiotic

A drop or two of SWEET OIL (sold at drugstores--if you don't see it, ask the pharmacist) in the ear will displace the water that is in your ear. Pain relief is immediate.
