Hi,
I have a 29 gallon tank ready for fish. It has a 55 gallon filter, 1 bubbler, and 3 rock hideouts. I was wondering if the following fish would be compatible for it.
-2 female sailfin mollies
-4 emerald corydoras
-3 Boesmans Rainbows
-2 upside down catfish
-1 bristlenose pleco

Or could I substitue the rainbows for 1 male and 2 female swordtails?

Personally I don't have a problem with the list as is. Boesmani rainbows do get a bit large, but I don't think too large for a 29 gallon.

It looks fine except for the Rainbows as others have pointed out previously.

If you decide to have any female Swordtails, keep a ratio of 2 females to 1 male so that the female doesn't get stressed out. Keeping only males is fine too. In some cases they'll chase each other, but there is no harm in this.

i would go with everything but boesmans ranbows.

Bosemans rainbows will grow too large for a 29 gallon.

it doesnt matter if the filter is meant to handle more, they will just grow to large and like to school.

I don't know some of those fish, but the only problem that I can see is their size. The "rule of thumb" is.....1" of fish per gallon of water. If any of these get large.....it might be a problem. Good luck......
