You don't need college algebra for this!

1. Don't forget FOIL: Firsts, Outsides, Insides, Lasts.

(2x-1)(2x-1)
F: (2x)(2x) = 4x^2
O: (2x)(-1) = -2x
I: (-1)(2x) = -2x
L: (-1)(-1) = 1
Now we add these, and their total is 4x^2 - 4x + 1.

2. No choices.

1. Remember the FOIL
First: 2x *2x
Outer 2x * -1
Inner -1* 2x
Last -1 * -1
Do the multiplications, add and simplify.

1.(2x-1)^2=(4x^2)-4x+1
u can apply the (a-b)^2 = a^2 - (b*a*2) + b^2

(2x-1)(2x-1)
FOIL
4x^2-2x-2x+1
4x^2-4x+1
2. 4-(x+y)(x+y)
4-(x^2+2xy+y^2)
