i find it does me more good to get over the resentment than to hold onto it. holding onto it doesn't hurt anybody but you.

Depends on what I'm resenting. For example, my ex abused me and cheated on me with 13 year olds and horses. I'm holding on to that resentment for awhile.

I try not too because it only does ME harm! That's a lot of power to give to something that has already happened.

As for the other person or "object" of that resentment, they have probably not given it a second thought! You just never know.
