I found this site where I live - its not great yet but they have a forum that welcomes just this kind of thing.

Check it out. These are the rules, no spam, no profanity no tolerance..
Best thing to do is read the Announcements section first to get to know them then post in he comments section to show them who you are.. In turn, they keep a clean house.
You can register for full free membership and access to the member forums. They check your input before you get in. you get in if your input is confirmed. Its pretty much about telling the truth.
