I have had my 4 kissing fish for about a year and a half they have done fine about a month ago I added 5 small zebra danios and 5 guppies ( 30 gal tank) but 2 days ago one of my kissers was floating and when I got home today another one was dead they all looked perfectly healthy it was swimming around this morning and was eating. I have not really done anything different did a 50% water change 2 weeks ago. How long do gouramis usually live ? could they have just died from old age or could it be something else ? all the other fish look fine the other 2 kissers are acting normal too

I seriously doubt old age as the answer as these fish can easily live 8-10 years. I would suggest checking the ammonia in the tank first, and if that's ok watch for any signs of disease very carefully as the danios and guppies could have brought a disease with them.

no chance of old age, as kisser gouramies will grow to 12 inches each, and BTW 30 gallons is not enough for one, let alone 4.

Anyway, chances are the new fish brought in a disease. Did u quartine any of the new fish? if no, thats the problem right there.

High ammonia level sounds quite likely. It is quite possible that there may have been something in the water you brought your fish home in harmed the nitrifying bacteria colonies in your tank and filter. Test the water for ammonia and nitrites. If either are present, your tank is most likely recycling.

Good points about diseases. If you are not familiar with what to look for, look here:
