I'm not saying I believe that race has anything to do with it... but in response to my last question about whether or not he should go to jail I got a lot of responses back indicating that it had to do with his race... and I was curious what other people thought

I don't think race plays a factor. Wrong is wrong, and wrong knows no color. However, I do not like the fact that people have already convicted him in public opinion, and I don't think it's right. People felt foolish after judging in the Duke case.

If he is found guilty, then people can say what they want, and he will deserve it.

I seen today that they haven't charged Vick on any of all these horrible acts that he committed and let others commit. This is worst than Hitler at least the people could fight back, innocent dogs don't stand a chance. I hope he loses his Career , sent to prison for as many years as the law allows and while he is their put his cell mate as a complete mad man that loves dogs. Give him so of his on medicine chew him him up bite him all over his sorry body break his legs , knock all his teeth out. just like he did all those poor helpless dogs. He is not as good as a dog.
Don't bring that race card in there like you always do , this is white, red, yellow and black whatever string him up. Don't start about the race card excuse.

There's no indication that this is motivated by race. vick is a great quarterback--but he has a history of misbehavior that is well documented--though this is the first serious allegation.

At this point, he should not be in jail--he is innocent unless and until proven guilty.

BTW--I am from Atlanta; I can't speak for Virginia, but a lot of people around here like Vick--it will be sad if it turns out he is guilty.

The man (not black man - MAN) is accused of cruelty to animals. He was having illegal dog fights, he knew of them, and he is going to pay for this at the hands of the law. NOTHING in any of this has to do with race. NOTHING.

I don't know how they can spin this case into a racial issue! And it disgusts me that some try to do just that. Are they so shallow that everything has to do with the color of ones skin? The man, Michael Vick, was indicted for dog fighting. That is the story.

Animal cruelty is not race specific. The Detroit Police investigate dog fighting as do the Southern Florida authorities. Predominately black in one city and predominately Hispanic in the cities in the other. In two States it is not against the law. Personally I would like to see the dogs chew the crap out of people that think it is sport and engage in it.

Let's talk about race in the NFL.
Dexter Manley from the Redskins spit in the face of the Saints' Jim Dombrowski, Jimbo punches Manley gets a 15 yard penalty taking the Saints out of fieldgoal position to win the game, after the game Charles Mann calls it an "All Pro" move to win no coverage anyplace but New Orleans, Jim Mora said he would have punched him too. Bill Romanowski spit in a black guys face, front page headlines and on every stinking sports show, they called it RACIST ,white man spit in black man's face, inexcusable. Terrell Owens spits in de Angelo Halls face and gets commented by Deon Sanders for "at least he owned up to it" right after the game, but after the NFL got a hold of it, and T.O found out there was no film of it, he denied it and got a pass from everyone but Marshall Faulk and DeAngelo. Don't bring no racism crap out here!

Um i don't care if he's black or white or whatever, dog fighting is illegal and pretty sick especially to the scale he had going on. they seized 66 dogs...55 of which were pit bulls...that's a lot of dogs...to fight 1 is sick and disturbing let alone to give your pack a cute little name like bad newz kennels. He should get the full 6 year term that's up. He's a shitty quarterback anyway. He obviously doesn't care about his career or his fans to be doing this crap and i don't think the public owes him one iota of sympathy be it for whatever reason.

he's a piece of ****, it's a shame america rewards losers like him with so much money and fame all because he can toss a ball well enough to play pro...

Race had nothing to with it. If Rush Limbaugh was caught up in illegal dog fights he'd be all over the news tommorow. Heck, any celebrity caught would be plastered all over the news.

No, he is involved in something that he should not be in. I am sick of the race card. It is a way to skirt responsibility.
