I love both but not huge spiders that can eat birds, that is just disturbing and not digusting river rats that eat hen eggs etc or sewer rats that could spread something nasty.

Well, rats make better pets, but I have a healthy respect for spiders.. I never kill a spider.. I will pick them up and move them if needed. As far as pets go, rats are far more social, and really do become "family" if you give them the attention they need..

I love both. I have a special fondness for rats and have had many of them in my time. I'm waiting now for a pair of rats from a friend of mine who's rat had babies... they are tooo cute.
My husband isn't fond of spiders so out of respect for him I've abstained from spider buying. I just got a unicorn mantis though, it's tooo coool

Rats are kinda cute..as long as they don't have rabies or something. Spiders on the other hand, the very sight of them makes me run to another room!

i dont mind spiders but there are so many at work i have to say run little spider run....as i cannot stop and save them all... im not so keen on rats but i love my pet mouse :-)

i can handle rats but no way at all can i handle spiders. that is my biggest fear of all time.
