I kind of did to today, i was helping my buddy change his brakes and we had a bolt that was kind of stripped and i pulled on it hard and it slipped and smacked my fingers against the strut, lol.

Welcome to the world of mechanics, In 50 plus years of working on cars of all types, I've busted my knuckles many times plus many cuts. I always keep Band-Aids on hand, if your going to do this very much, get a pair of mechanics gloves, they really help save skin.

LOL this is a good question...worked in koons ford back in 2002-03 and if you didn't bust your knuckles at least twice a week then you were doing something wrong...got so use to it one time i busted my knuckle right down to the bone and didn't realize it was that bad till someone asked where all the blood was coming from...

Too many times for me. The worst ones is when you know you are going to bust a knuckle and then it happens. Seems like those hurt the worst.

haha ohh man seems that even when i do my best to watch out i always end up busting my knuckles. worst was when the bolt busted and my knuckle slamed into some sharp siding in my trunk and sliced half way through my finger.

Well after working at GM for 31 yrs and in the backyard on my stuff and my friends, I got more scars on my knuckles and fingers than a street brawler

at least a dozen times per knuckle. It hurts worse when you do it to the same knuckle two times in a row. ouch!

30+ years as a mechanic......lets see.....ouch waaaay too many to count but at least a couple of times a week.
